Experience

• Appropriate experience in Patient Administration or Hospital Fees.

Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs)

• Lead a dynamic administrative team.
• Ensure correct interpretation of finance instructions and their implementation.
• Collate and interpret statistics in the section, including CMI reports.
• Make sure all accounts are submitted on time.
• Ensure optimal revenue collection and develop mechanisms to improve revenue targets.
• Ensure adherence to all HR and Labour relations policies.
• Supervise clerical staff in Patient Reception Services, including receptions, wards, clinics, and special offices such as IOD and Medico legal.
• Train staff.

Inherent Requirements of the Job

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and public holidays.

Minimum Educational Qualification

• Senior Certificate (or equivalent).

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills)

• Working knowledge of CLINICOM.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with all finance instructions (FAR), Hospital Memorandum Chapter 18, and UPFS procedural manual.
• Familiarity with supervisory duties in a Patient Administration environment (as detailed in CV).
• Report writing skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to execute duties accurately and thoroughly, meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to cope with a heavy workload and handle stressful situations.
