Position Overview
Support operational excellence in maternity ward administration through coordinated management of patient billing, inventory control, and clerical support. Act as key liaison between clinical teams and hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor medical supplies and equipment stock levels
- Conduct weekly stock audits and reconciliation
- Manage procurement and storage protocols
- Patient Billing:
- Accurate capture of patient charges and insurance data
- Resolve billing queries in collaboration with finance team
- Maintain confidential financial records
- Ward Administration:
- Manage patient records and admissions process
- Coordinate staff schedules and duty rosters
- Handle departmental correspondence and reporting
Essential Requirements
- Matric certificate (NQF Level 4)
- Administrative certification preferred
- 2 years hospital administration experience
- Proficiency in hospital management systems
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
