Job Purpose
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Speaker’s Office at a municipal government level. Requires exceptional organizational skills and political awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Speaker’s diary, appointments, and travel arrangements
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and official events
- Prepare official correspondence, speeches, and council documentation
- Monitor implementation of council decisions
- Manage office budget and resource allocation
- Liaise with council members, staff, and public stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate (essential)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- 5-8 years administrative experience
- Availability for overtime and after-hours meetings
