Job Purpose

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Speaker’s Office at a municipal government level. Requires exceptional organizational skills and political awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Speaker’s diary, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and official events
  • Prepare official correspondence, speeches, and council documentation
  • Monitor implementation of council decisions
  • Manage office budget and resource allocation
  • Liaise with council members, staff, and public stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate (essential)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Valid Code B driver’s license
  • 5-8 years administrative experience
  • Availability for overtime and after-hours meetings
