  • Appropriate experience in secretarial and office administration.
  • Good communication skills in verbal and written English.
  • Knowledge of secretarial and office administration practices, including minute-taking.
  • Computer literacy, especially in MS Office, Word, and Excel, with typing proficiency.
  • Willingness to attend development courses.
  • Provide administration and secretarial support, including office management and reception duties.
  • Answer phone queries and deliver messages.
  • Order stationery, equipment, and office consumables.
  • Type documents, reports, and correspondence, and maintain an effective filing system.
  • Prepare for meetings, take minutes, and ensure timely submission of statistical data.
  • Collect and compile databases, rosters, and monthly reports.
  • The pool of applications will be considered for similar vacancies at Groote Schuur Hospital for three months from the advert date, if the job title, core functions, requirements, and salary level match.
  • No payment is required when applying for this post.
  • Shortlisted candidates will take a competency test.
  • Salary: R 228 321 per annum, plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
