  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of supply chain management processes, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and the Accounting Officers System. Familiarity with LOGIS, EPS, and ESL systems.
  • Assist with demand and procurement planning, including identifying items for the procurement plan and ESL.
  • Source quotations by advertising requests on EPS, evaluate quotes according to supply chain management rules, and guide users on evaluation.
  • Generate and place orders with suppliers, maintain filing, and complete adjudication of awarded orders on EPS.
  • Prepare documents for quotation committee meetings. Ensure all transactions follow legal requirements. Handle phone and written inquiries from directorates and suppliers. Perform relief duties within the supply chain component.
  • Rotate within the Supply Chain Section and relieve colleagues as needed.
  • Requirements: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject, or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience and skills focused on the key performance areas of the post.
  • Salary: R 228 321 per annum, plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
  • No payment is required when applying for this post. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a practical test. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacancies at Worcester Regional Hospital for 3 months from the date of the advert, if the job title, core functions, requirements, and salary level match.
