Requirements and Expectations
Minimum Requirements
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- One to two years of experience in Supply Chain Management (Logistics) is an advantage.
- A valid, unexpired driver’s license is an advantage.
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of financial systems like SAP.
- Understanding of laws for public service and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures in government or similar settings.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (spoken and written).
- Ability to work alone or in a team, with flexibility and attention to detail.
- Strong ethics, accountability, and focus on client needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support logistics and inventory management according to supply chain rules.
- Provide clerical help for demand, acquisition, and procurement documents.
- Offer logistical services to coordinate supply chain functions.
- Handle purchase orders accurately and on time.
- Manage goods receipt, including checking items and services from suppliers.
- Record goods and service receipts and issue them to relevant teams.
- Perform stock checks and keep accurate inventory records.
- Manage receiving and issuing stock from the warehouse.
- Update the 0–9 file and speed up open purchase orders.
- Track and report on open purchase orders and prepare commitment reports.
- Do other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
