Job Summary
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, Absa’s Risk Management Framework, and internal policies. Understand and mitigate relevant risks.
Key Responsibilities
Data Capturing:
- Record new/revised wills from clients/depositories accurately in Absa Trust system.
- Process cancellations and deceased estate notifications by updating/deleting records.
- Transfer historical records from legacy systems to new databases.
- Identify and merge duplicate customer records.
Document Preparation:
- Prepare standard correspondence for will cancellations and client confirmations.
- Liaise with deceased estate branches/Master of High Court regarding original wills.
- Contact clients for missing information via SMS/email.
Customer Service:
- Resolve telephonic queries from Wills Safe Custody helpline professionally.
- Coordinate with attorneys/Master’s Office to verify will authenticity.
Compliance:
- Complete mandatory regulatory training.
- Stay updated on Wills Act requirements.
- Adhere to risk policies (EHS, data security, anti-money laundering).
Requirements
- Education:
- Matric or equivalent NQF qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business/Commerce/Management (advantageous).
- Experience:
- 1+ year in administrative roles.
- Fiduciary experience (preferred).
