Job Summary:
This role involves handling the receipt, entry, and distribution of all samples. The goal is to ensure accurate information capture and quick processing of samples to meet service standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
- BSc Degree is advantageous
Experience:
- 0-1 years of relevant work experience
Key Knowledge:
- Understanding of organizational policies and procedures
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute samples following standard operating procedures to ensure proper routing to labs or sites.
- Register samples and handle related queries according to guidelines.
- Dispatch specimens for processing, track reports, and manage queries and deliveries within required timeframes.
- Conduct hospital rounds to deliver reports and collect samples as per procedures.
- Resolve administrative queries and customer complaints promptly.
- Monitor sample delivery by couriers to ensure timely receipt, processing, and result return.
- Identify and fix delays in pre-analytical processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and prepare equipment in your work area.
- Track stock levels, order supplies, and deliver them to doctor’s rooms.
- Represent the company professionally, providing excellent customer service to medical staff and professionals.
- Manage the reception area, provide information, direct clients, and deliver top customer service.
- Handle patient payments and bank money according to procedures.
- Report incidents, log complaints and solutions, and use the lab information system for tasks.
- Scan patient forms into the system and fix any scanning issues.
- Follow company uniform and standard procedures.
