Position Overview
We seek a motivated actuarial professional to join our client’s non-life insurance team. This role offers exposure to insurance reserving, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Key Details
- Employment Type: Full-time position
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s in Actuarial Science or equivalent
- Experience Needed: 2-3 years in non-life insurance sector
- Location: Gauteng Province
- Department: Insurance Operations
Role Responsibilities
- Calculate reserves using IFRS17 and SAM reporting standards
- Support financial forecasting and regulatory submissions
- Collaborate with finance teams on reporting timelines
- Develop reserving models and data quality protocols
- Prepare reports for internal and regulatory audits
Candidate Requirements
- Completed A1 & A2 actuarial exams (ASSA/IFoA)
- Practical experience with reserving methodologies
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of South African insurance regulations
- Strong analytical and communication abilities
