The Municipality is located in the northern parts of Limpopo Province (coordinates 23° 00´ 00´´ S 29° 45´ 00´´ E), about 100 km from the Zimbabwean border along the N1 Route. The municipal area covers 831,058 hectares and is strategically positioned along a major transport route.

Salary: R 866,786.24 fixed per annum (post level 03)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • B Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity
  • A valid Code B Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

  • Align with the key deliverables and immediate goals in the Council’s Integrated Development Plan for revenue management.
  • Present information and opinions on revenue management opportunities and how current initiatives support strategies.
  • Provide revenue management strategic support to the municipality.
  • Formulate annual plans (SDBIP and performance plans) according to the municipality’s strategic plans and mandate.
  • Review and implement the credit control and debt collection policy.
  • Identify and manage the municipality’s response to strategic revenue management initiatives.
  • Oversee billing management.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for valid, accurate, and complete billing administration.
  • Manage debt collections and credit control.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of reports on the municipality’s debt position.
  • Prepare all related revenue monthly journals for submission to the Chief Financial Officer for approval.
  • Prepare irrecoverable debts for write-off and provision for bad debts, and escalate to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Manage the indigent register.
