1X Foreman: Roads and Stormwater (Task Grade 10)

  • SALARY SCALE: R296 659.76 – R382 470.48 per annum

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Artisan qualification (NQF level 5).
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in roads and stormwater.
  • 3 years of experience in a municipal environment.
  • Code EC driver’s licence with PRDP.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Communicate with your immediate supervisor to establish tasks, including vehicles, materials, and personnel. Discuss and schedule priorities, such as site visits. Clarify specific requirements for allocation and execution at sites. Monitor and inspect safety devices, controls, lubricant levels on vehicles, and report defects to the mechanical division.
  • Monitor and implement performance management with subordinates. Track attendance and conduct of team members. Communicate work orders and plans to construction personnel, including operators and general workers.
  • Provide information to residents and the general public about activities, work sequences, and any obstructions. Monitor building tools, equipment used by personnel, vehicles, and special machinery. Check and submit detailed reports on fieldwork, inspections, and operational issues for management reports.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

  • You may need to work in all weather conditions.
  • You may need to work outside normal hours during emergencies and planned overtime.
