Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (NQF Level 7 equivalent)
- Valid South African driver’s license (Code B)
- 8 years’ progressive IT experience with 2 years in operations management
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily server and network infrastructure operations
- Develop and manage departmental budgets (capital & operational)
- Lead strategic IT planning and policy implementation
- Coordinate cross-functional IT team operations
- Develop performance reports and system upgrade proposals
- Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements
Essential Competencies
Organizational Leadership:
- Align IT operations with municipal strategic objectives
Information Governance:
- Implement data protection policies and compliance measures
Operational Resilience:
- Maintain system stability under pressure
- Implement disaster recovery protocols
