Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop national portfolio management framework aligned with national insurance strategy
  • Lead R35+ billion commercial insurance portfolio with public sector focus
  • Drive digital transformation of risk assessment and policy management systems

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain relationships with National Treasury, SAIA, and Government Security Cluster
  • Manage partnerships with 150+ insurance intermediaries and corporate brokers
  • Oversee annual stakeholder forum with 500+ participants

Operational Excellence

  • Implement AI-driven portfolio monitoring systems
  • Maintain 98%+ SLA compliance across all distribution channels
  • Reduce claims leakage by 15% through enhanced portfolio controls

Key Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Risk Management/Law (NQF 7)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Insurance/Public Policy (Preferred)
  • FAIS-compliant certification (RE5)

Experience

  • 7-10 years senior insurance management experience
  • Proven track record managing R10bn+ portfolios
  • Experience with SAS and other risk modeling software
