About the Position
The Gauteng Provincial Government’s Department of Roads and Transport seeks five dedicated Administrative Clerks to join our Provincial Regulatory Entity team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop administrative skills within the public transport sector while contributing to essential regulatory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general office administration including document processing, filing, and correspondence management
- Provide secretariat support for meetings including minute-taking and logistics coordination
- Maintain accurate attendance records and document tracking systems
- Handle mail management (incoming/outgoing correspondence)
- Deliver customer service support and client after-care services
- Assist with records management and data maintenance
- Support operational functions of the Provincial Regulatory Entity
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent (essential)
- Basic understanding of National Road Traffic Act and Public Service Regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Capacity to work effectively in team environments
- Experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments
