About the Position

The Gauteng Provincial Government’s Department of Roads and Transport seeks five dedicated Administrative Clerks to join our Provincial Regulatory Entity team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop administrative skills within the public transport sector while contributing to essential regulatory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general office administration including document processing, filing, and correspondence management
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings including minute-taking and logistics coordination
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and document tracking systems
  • Handle mail management (incoming/outgoing correspondence)
  • Deliver customer service support and client after-care services
  • Assist with records management and data maintenance
  • Support operational functions of the Provincial Regulatory Entity

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent (essential)
  • Basic understanding of National Road Traffic Act and Public Service Regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capacity to work effectively in team environments
  • Experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments
