Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. 6-11 months experience plus security certificate Grade C and must be registered with PSIRa, have valid PSIRa certificate. Computer literacy and CCTV experience in control room will be an advantage. Knowledge of the Access to public premises and vehicles Act No. 53 of 1985, PSIRa Act 56 of 2001 and Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS). Must be prepared to work shifts and under pressure. Preference will be given to EPWP trainees and administrative interns who served and still serving the Department according to Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017. Candidates will be subjected to a medical surveillance.
Duties:
- Safeguarding state assets, vehicles, employees, patients, contractors, visitors. Monitor and control the movement of patients and visitors. Render escort services to staff members, visitors, and patients when the need arises. Report all incidents/breaches in the Occurrences Book. Do searching (i.e., people and vehicles. Enforcement of departmental policies, assisting nursing staff in handling aggressive patients if required, managing of hospital security aids and monitoring of CCTV surveillance cameras. Quickly respond to emergencies in the hospital
