Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Early childhood development certificate (ECD), basic child minder and first aid. Minimum 1 year experience in a creche environment, ability to work shifts, and good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have passion for children, be creative and innovative, Knowledge of Batho Pele principles and customer care. Must be able to cope with physical demands of the position and long working hours. Preference will be given to EPWP trainees and administrative interns who served and still serving the Department according to Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017. Candidates will be subjected to a medical surveillance.
Duties:
- Receiving of the children in the morning from the parents. Collecting meals for children. Feeding the children, ensuring the children are always safe. Maintain a healthy and safe environment for the children. Promote early learning development. Inform Supervisor of groceries and cleaning materials needed for the crèche. Report any problems to the supervisor timelessly. Assist in Admission of new children to crèche, Knowledge of childcare and feeding nutrition, Teaching Grade RR, Understanding of health legislation and the Child Act.
