Essential Qualifications

  • LLB/LLM or NQF Level 7 Law degree (Postgraduate qualification preferred)
  • 10+ years legal experience with 5+ years senior management experience
  • Expertise in local government legislation and human rights frameworks
  • Proven track record in dispute resolution and policy development
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and digital communication platforms

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic operations of Complaints and Investigations Unit
  • Investigate service delivery complaints and human rights violations
  • Develop mediation strategies for municipal administration disputes
  • Identify systemic risks and propose policy improvements
  • Collaborate with City Manager on human rights initiatives
  • Prepare detailed reports for Council decision-making
