About the Bursary Provider – Digby Wells

Digby Wells Environmental is a leading provider of environmental and social services to the South African and International mineral resources and energy industries. The company’s capabilities include environmental services, social and heritage services, rehabilitation, closure, and soils, water geosciences, and renewable energy, among others. Digby Wells was formed in 1995 by three partners from the Environmental Department of Rand Mines, and is named after the late Mr. Digby Wells, a role player in the South African environmental management field.

More About the Digby Wells Bursary Programme – Expenses Covered & Other Benefits

The bursary will cover the following expenses:

  • Tuition fees
  • Book allowance
  • Laptop

In addition, students who are inducted into the company will also receive the following benefits:

  • Continuous mentorship from highly experienced staff
  • Full-time employment on graduation

Eligibility Requirements for the Digby Wells Bursary

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

Matric qualification Completed Matric
Field of study Studying or intend on studying full-time, towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification, within one of the fields listed above, in 2024
University Studying or registering to study at a recognized University in South Africa
English and Mathematics Achieved a minimum result of 60% for English and 60% for Mathematics in Matric
Overall average Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in Matric
Academic potential Strong academic potential
Career intentions Intend on pursuing a career in the environmental and social services industry
Passion for working outdoors Passionate about working outdoors
Motivation Highly motivated and committed to your studies
