The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We aim to promote representation in the Public Service by filling these positions with people who will help achieve this goal. Candidates from underrepresented groups will get preference. If we cannot find suitable candidates from these groups, we will consider candidates from represented groups. We encourage people with disabilities to apply.

Closing Date: 21 November 2025 at 16:00

Important Notes for Applications:

Applications must be submitted using the prescribed Z83 form, which you can get from any Public Service Department or download from the DPSA website: https://www.dpsa.gov.za/newsroom/psvc/. The form must be signed, initialed, and dated by the applicant. Attach a detailed curriculum vitae (CV). You do not need to submit certified copies of qualifications or other documents with your application. Only shortlisted candidates will need to provide certified copies of qualifications and related documents on or before the interview date. These copies must not be older than six months.

If you use an incorrect or old Z83 form, your application will be disqualified. When completing the Z83 form:

  • Part A and Part B must be fully completed.
  • For Parts C through G, there is limited space, so you may refer to your CV or write “Refer to CV.” This is fine as long as your CV is attached and includes the required information.
  • Initial page 1 of the Z83 form and sign and date page 2.

Failure to follow these instructions may lead to disqualification. If you apply for more than one post, submit a separate Z83 form and CV for each. If you apply for multiple posts on one Z83, you will only be considered for the first post listed.

Submit applications by post, courier, hand delivery, or email. Late applications will not be accepted. According to Regulations 57(c) and 67(9) of the Public Service Regulations 2016 (as amended), the executive authority must verify all claims and conduct personnel suitability checks to ensure candidates are fit for employment. Shortlisted candidates must agree to vetting and verification processes.

It is your responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA. Due to the high volume of applications, we will not acknowledge receipt, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you do not hear from us within three months of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.

For Senior Management Service (SMS) posts, you must complete the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme from the National School of Governance (NSG). Details are available at: https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/.

For emailed applications, send a single PDF document (one attachment per application) to the email address for the specific position. Attachments must not exceed 15MB. It is your responsibility to ensure your application is submitted successfully.
