Available Positions
Post 42/84: Court Interpreter (Ref No: 2025/13/MP)

Salary: R228,321 – R268,950 per year
Location: Middelburg Magistrate Office
What You Need:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Fluency in English and one or more indigenous languages (Afrikaans is required for this position)
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administration and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well with people
- Attention to detail and accuracy
What You Will Do:
- Interpret in Criminal Court, Civil Court, Labour Court, and other legal proceedings
- Interpret during consultations between legal professionals and clients
- Translate legal documents and exhibits
- Record cases in the criminal record book
- Pull case records when requested by Magistrates and Prosecutors
- Maintain statistics and records
- Perform other duties as assigned by the office
The successful candidate will need to sign a performance agreement.
Post 42/83: Administration Clerk (3 Positions Available)
What You Need:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong administration and organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer service skills
- Document management and filing skills
- Good interpersonal relations
What You Will Do:
- Provide general clerical support services
- Assist with supply chain administration
- Help with personnel administration tasks
- Provide financial administration support
Post 42/82: Administrative Officer (Ref No: 25/14/KZN)
Salary: R397,116 – R467,790 per year (all-inclusive package)
Location: Ekuvukeni Magistrate Court
What You Need:
- Three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration/Public Management (or equivalent)
- 3 years of administration experience
- Knowledge of Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, and Risk Management
- Understanding of Financial Management (Vote and Trust Account), Departmental Financial Instructions (DFI), BAS, and Justice Yellow Pages (JYP)
- People management skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft packages)
- Good written and verbal communication
- Organizing and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Good interpersonal relations
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate and manage the office’s financial and human resources
- Manage risk and security in the court
- Oversee strategic and business planning processes
- Manage the Criminal and Civil Court Administration Section, Family Court sections, and Supply Chain operations
- Manage Third Party Funds and Vote Accounts
- Coordinate support services for Case Flow Management and other court users
