- Document Format: Submit your application form Z83 and CV combined as a single PDF document. JPEG or image files will not be accepted.
- Subject Line: Clearly indicate the full job title (no abbreviations) and the correct reference number in the email subject line.
- Email Address: Use the correct email address associated with the specific post you are applying for.
- Application Form: Applications must be submitted on the new Z83 form only, obtainable from any Public Service Department or download from www.gov.za/documents. Old Z83 forms will not be considered.
- Completion of Z83: Each post requires its own separate application. Sections A, B, C, and D must be fully completed. For Sections E, F, and G, you may indicate “refer to CV” due to space limitations, but you must answer the question about conditions preventing re-appointment in Part F and sign the declaration.
- Supporting Documents: Only shortlisted candidates will need to submit certified copies of qualifications and related documents before the interview.
- Foreign Qualifications: Non-South African citizens or Permanent Resident Permit holders with foreign qualifications must include a SAQA evaluation report (only when shortlisted).

- Provide effective and efficient messenger and driver services
- Assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles

POST 42/47: CLIENT SERVICE OFFICER (PES)

Requirements
- Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate
- No prior experience required
- Valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and guidelines, Labour Legislation and Regulations, Employment Services Act, Public Service Act and Regulations, and Batho Pele principles
- Skills: Interpersonal relations, telephone etiquette, interviewing, computer literacy, communication (verbal and written), listening, problem solving, and ability to interpret legislation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Register work-seekers on the Employment Services System of South Africa (ESSA)
- Register work and learning opportunities on ESSA
- Refer work seekers for Employment Counselling services
- Provide administrative support for placing work seekers in work and learning opportunities
- Render general administrative duties and participate in advocacy sessions as required

POST 42/46: INSPECTOR (INSPECTION AND ENFORCEMENT SERVICES)

Requirements
- Three-year relevant qualification in Labour Relations, BCOM Law, or LLB
- Valid driver’s license
- One year functional experience in Inspection and Enforcement Services
- Knowledge of Departmental Policies and procedures, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Unemployment Insurance Act, and Unemployment Insurance Contribution Act
- Skills: Facilitation, planning and organising, computer skills (spreadsheets, PowerPoint, word processing), interpersonal relations, problem solving, interviewing, analytical thinking, verbal and written communication, and Employment Equity Act
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and independently conduct occupational inspections to ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- Execute investigations on reported cases of labour legislation contravention and enforce where necessary
- Plan and conduct proactive (Blitz) inspections to monitor compliance with labour legislation
- Conduct independent advocacy campaigns on all Labour Legislation
- Draft and maintain inspection plans and reports, including analysis and compilation of consolidated statistical reports

- Knowledge of Employment Service Act, Unemployment Insurance Act, Public Service Act, Immigration Act, Skills Development Act, Social Plan Guidelines, Human Resources Management, Public Financial Management Act, and ILO conventions related to Public Employment Services
- Skills: Planning and organizing, communication, computer literacy, analytical thinking, presentation, interpersonal relations, report writing, networking, negotiation, and marketing
Duties and Responsibilities
- Market Public Employment Services to stakeholders to acquire opportunities and conduct recruitment, selection, referral, and placement of registered work seekers
- Process requests for International Cross Border Labour Migration and advise on skill availability
- Process applications for registration of Public Employment Agency (PEA) and Temporary Employment Schemes (TES)
- Supervise provision of registration and referral of work seekers for the Department
- Monitor implementation of employment schemes, Labour Activation programmes (LAP) projects, and Temporary Relief Schemes
