About the Role:
The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) seeks a Programme Manager to lead water reuse initiatives under the National Water Partnerships Programme. This critical role involves developing sustainable water solutions, managing infrastructure projects, and fostering public-private partnerships across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement water reuse strategies and standardised programme frameworks
- Manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion
- Secure funding through innovative finance solutions
- Lead stakeholder engagements with municipalities and water boards
- Manage project budgets up to R500 million
- Oversee team of water sector specialists
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Engineering (Civil preferred)
- 10+ years’ experience in infrastructure finance and project management
- Proven track record in public-private partnerships
- Deep knowledge of water sector legislation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Management
- Experience in water reuse or resource recovery projects

Requirements:
- Honours degree in Finance/Business/Engineering
- 10-12 years’ experience in project finance
- Proven track record in African infrastructure deals
- Expertise in financial modelling and risk assessment
- Strong network in African financial markets
Preferred Qualifications:
- CFA/CA/MBA qualification
- Multilingual capabilities (French/Portuguese)
