The Cyril Ramaphosa Trust (CRET) is known for its consistent support and assistance to deserving students in the pursuit of university education. Coming into existence in 1996, the trust was established by Cyril Ramaphosa, who initially used the funds he amassed from his public speaking endeavours to provide assistance to students. By 2000, his initial effort transformed into the now-existing CRET.

Humble Origins and Remarkable Impact

Over the span of 21 years, Mr. Ramaphosa played a pivotal role in the development of many individuals. In those years, he helped a total of 318 students, with 142 of them gaining the honour of becoming graduates. These numbers are a testament to the impact of CRET and its importance in promoting the significance of education through bursary programmes.
