Requirements

POST 42/08: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONER

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Logistics, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Management environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile documentation lists, conduct evaluations, draft comparative schedules, maintain quotation registers and checklists
  • Submit documentation to supervisor for verification
  • Forward approved documents to directorate for acceptance of recommendation
  • Submit approved documents to SCM: Logistics for order issuance
  • Rotate suppliers from the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • Search for suppliers on the CSD, attend to database queries, and report monthly on utilized suppliers and non-responsive suppliers
  • Compile bid documents for procurement above R500 000.00
  • Attend to queries related to bid document administration and assist with processes on bid closing dates

Requirements

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 6 as recognised by SAQA) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years working experience in information technology, with at least 3 years at management or supervisory level
