Minimum Requirements:
- Contract Duration: Non-renewable for a period of 6 months
- Educational Qualification: Matric (Grade 12) plus a Diploma or an NQF Level 6 qualification
- Driver‘s License: Must hold a valid Code C1 driver’s license
- Language Skills: Proficiency in two languages
- Skills Required:
- Conflict resolution
- Negotiation and communication
- Additional Requirements: Must be eligible for appointment as a peace officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Planning and Prioritization: Schedule and prioritize target areas for monitoring various categories of signs, using statistical data to ensure effective oversight of illegal signage.
- Inspection and Removal of Illegal Signs: Conduct site inspections to identify illegal signs and oversee their removal to comply with municipal regulations.
- Inventory Management: Store removed signs by category, maintain an accurate inventory, and keep records of sign removals, submitting these records to the office as required.
- Communication with Transgressors: Inform offenders about the presence and nature of their illegal signs, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
- Maintenance Oversight: Supervise the cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles, workshops, equipment, and storage areas through regular inspections, ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
- Reporting: Document and report any broken or damaged advertising signs in writing to the relevant authorities.
