About the Role:

We seek an experienced financial leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This executive position requires strategic oversight of all financial operations, implementing effective financial controls, and driving sustainable growth through sound fiscal management aligned with MFMA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial leadership across budgeting, accounting and reporting functions
• Develop and implement financial policies ensuring MFMA compliance
• Oversee SCM processes and optimize revenue streams
• Manage R2.6M+ annual budget and financial forecasting
• Lead a finance team of professionals with multiple direct reports
• Implement risk management strategies and internal controls
• Present financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• NQF Level 7 Qualification in Accounting/Finance (Required)
• Chartered Accountant (SA)/ACCA/CIMA certification (Preferred)
• MFMA Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months (Essential)

Experience:

• 10+ years progressive financial management experience
• 5+ years senior leadership in enterprise-level finance operations
• Public sector experience highly advantageous

• Advanced knowledge of public sector accounting standards
• Proven team leadership and development capabilities
