Sales Consultant – Western Cape
Job Description

Purpose of the Job:
The main goal of this role is to deliver high-quality professional services to our customers. This includes resolving their queries quickly and effectively. You will interact with customers to provide and process information about our products and services, all while meeting the Service Centre’s service level agreements (SLAs).
Main Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Sales
- Welcome all clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Keep the Service Centre environment welcoming and supportive of sales and excellent customer service.
- Regularly maintain and update store policies and procedures.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers.
- Always present a professional image in every customer interaction.
- Process all orders, forms, applications, and requests without any delays.
- Direct any unresolved requests or issues to the appropriate person right away.
- Manage customers’ accounts accurately and carefully.
- Keep a detailed record of all customer interactions and transactions that can be easily accessed.
- Maintain thorough records of all inquiries, comments, complaints, and the actions taken to address them.
- Handle administration tasks efficiently.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly, paying close attention to details and accuracy.
Complaint Resolution
- Gather and review all necessary information to manage inquiries and complaints.
- Continuously perform customer verifications and immediately report any issues to management.
- Resolve product or service issues by understanding the customer’s complaint, identifying the root cause, suggesting and explaining the best solution, making quick corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure the problem is fixed as soon as possible.
- Stay well-informed about Cell C’s products and services so that customer queries can be handled accurately and appropriately at all times.
- Support colleagues and team members by listening to their professional challenges, sharing your expertise, building their confidence, and maintaining a positive outlook on the team’s and Service Centre’s performance.
Stock Management
- Submit weekly stock forecasts on time as agreed.
- Oversee the daily sales order capture process to meet turnaround times and ensure orders are entered correctly.
- Verify that the daily cash-up report shows no discrepancies in cash handling.
- Ensure all transactions from the day are accurate and balanced.
Finance
- File all documents with complete accuracy, making them easy to access and compliant with audits.
Administration and Report Generation
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to your manager.
- Provide any additional reports as requested on an ad-hoc basis.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental laws and regulations.
- Report any health and safety issues or incidents to your manager or the health and safety representative.
- Help Cell C create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Attend Safety, Health, and Environmental workshops as required by management.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Matric certificate plus an NQF Level 5 certificate, or completion of internal workshops and proven online self-help courses that build knowledge in customer service and sales.
Experience
- 6 to 24 months of experience in sales, retail, or a service environment.
- Knowledge of ICT products is an advantage.
- Proven ability to increase sales.
- Familiarity with relevant computer applications.
