Our exceptional growth is creating a once in a life-time opportunities to suitable incumbents.Job Purpose:As the Programme Coordinator you are responsible and accountable for the overall effective and efficient service delivery of the Foundation Phase programme assigned to you. You are responsible for quality learning and teaching practices for your programme. Duties & Responsibilities:LecturingLecturing approximately 20hrs a week;Lesson preparation, marking and moderation as required; Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendationsResearchPresent at least one article per year for publication in the IIE Journals.Plan and facilitate Research Workshops for lecturing staff.Ensure that a minimum of two articles per year are presented for publication by Lecturers in your programmes.Lecturer SupportConduct Lecturer Orientation/Induction sessions.Planning and facilitation of Lecturer Forum meetings.Conduct Peer Reviews, give feedback and assist with the Lecturer Development Plan.Conduct Lecturer Forum Meetings.Attend Faculty Workshops.Co-ordinate subject-specific Tutorials.Conduct workshops on Learning & Teaching Methodologies.Conduct workshops on Classroom Management.Track Lecturers performance.Ensure Lecturers integrate appropriate student support services into the classroom based on learner needs.Minimum Requirements:QualificationsA Minimum of an Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Education, specializing in the Foundation Phase.A Master’s qualification (NQF Level 9) in Education would be advantageous. Experience3 – 5 years of experience in the teaching and learning field, specifically lecturing in the tertiary environment. Key Competencies:Solid and proven management, administrative and/or operational experience.Skilled in the use of telecommunications equipment.Proven ability to present ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to provide constructive criticism and praise.Ability to accept criticism and feedback.Ability to conceptualise training programmes and goals.Ability to prepare correspondence – minutes, communiqués, proposals and reports.Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of supervision and personnel management.Ability to analyse emergency situations objectively and make sound recommendations.Ability to maintain good working relationships with Division, Brand and campus employees, training service providers and other regulatory authorities.Demonstrated competence in being solutions driven.Sound communication skills.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Tolerance for operating in a pressurised environment and industry. Salary:Market related.Enquiries: For enquiries, please feel free to contact “HRO Recruiter” on “Contract Details”. Rosebank College is an equal opportunities employer however preference will be given to EE and South African candidates.
