Job Description
Job Title: Financial AccountantJob Description:Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team and oversee all aspects of financial management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. Responsibilities:Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecastsPerform month-end and year-end closing proceduresEnsure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirementsAnalyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisionsSupport budgeting and forecasting processesManage accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsAssist with tax planning and complianceCoordinate with auditors during annual audit processQualifications:Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with membership of a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., SAICA, ACCA, CIMA).Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering or construction industry. mailto:[email protected]Strong knowledge of South African accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance principles.Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
