About the Role

We are looking for an organized and proactive Administrative Clerk / Assistant to support our freight and logistics operations. The successful candidate will work closely with principals, freight agents, and internal teams to manage shipping claims, customer service inquiries, and general administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with principals and freight agents to coordinate shipments.
  • Generate shipping price lists, shortage, damage, and return claims.
  • Email shipping claims to overseas principals and follow up on outstanding credit notes.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including data entry and record keeping.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service or administration experience.
  • Experience with Book Master software is a plus.
  • Previous exposure to a customer‑service/administrative environment.

Essential Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Good analytical and administrative abilities.
  • Efficient, deadline‑driven, and able to work independently.
  • Computer literacy – proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with principals, suppliers, and freight agents.

  • Team player who can work with minimal supervision.
