About the Position
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of the Western Cape is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Dean’s Office. This is a permanent, full‑time role that will help keep the faculty running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic administration – manage records, schedules and documentation.
- Helpdesk assistance – answer queries from staff and students.
- Enquiry management – handle incoming questions and direct them appropriately.
- Marketing and recruitment assistance – support outreach and recruitment activities.
- Meeting administration – organise agendas, minutes and follow‑ups.
- General administration – office tasks, filing, correspondence and other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of academic administrative experience.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in a higher education environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
