Purpose

This role involves implementing and maintaining Fraser Alexander’s SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) management systems. You will manage risks in your area of responsibility, promote a safe working environment, and develop basic SHEQ systems where needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Display and communicate SHEQ policies, targets, objectives, and goals across the operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and submit statutory documents.
  • Monitor, review, and compile quality data files.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of audit appointments and update as necessary.
  • Advise management and appointees on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and review the environmental management plan and client requirements.
  • Implement and monitor the project quality plan.
  • Ensure baseline risk assessments for all contracts (environmental, quality, OHS).
  • Monitor employees’ medical status and enforce control measures for identified hazards.
  • Submit monthly reports to the SHEQ Manager and report any incidents.
  • Assist with incident management and provide ongoing feedback to management.
  • Conduct project reviews upon completion to drive continual improvement.
  • Coordinate inspection and testing schedules with technicians and laboratory personnel.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Health and Safety Management.
  • Certified Internal Auditor or Integrated Management Systems certification.
  • Experience implementing ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
  • First Aid certification.

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years in an SHEQ role with expertise in hazard identification and risk assessment.
