Job Purpose

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the company. Support operational efficiency by ensuring a clean and safe working environment, minimizing contamination risk, and contributing to overall product safety and compliance.

Principal Accountabilities

• Comply with all pre‑cleaning preparation requirements as per standard operating procedures.
• Wash pots, pans and traps; keep working areas and cleaning equipment storage neat.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
• Vacuum offices.
• Clean toilets and changing rooms.
• Sweep, mop and scrub floors efficiently with specified equipment.
• Remove trash to appropriate disposal sites.
• Clean garbage cans and waste barrels.
• Operate, maintain and clean out power‑operated dishwashers safely.
• Comply with HACCP standards and applicable health codes.
• Pack garments for laundering.
• Deep‑clean equipment according to the master cleaning schedule.
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs.
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
• Shift according to operational requirements.
• Ensure work areas meet HACCP requirements.
• Adhere to deep‑cleaning specialized tasks.
• Follow Halaal ethics, codes and conduct.
• Maintain security, SHEQ, HACCP and operational policies.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions and practices.
• Comply with all food safety regulations.
• Assign work and monitor adherence by service providers per service level agreements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a cleaning environment.
• Willingness to undergo internal food safety and HACCP training.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good communication.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
