About the Role

Metso is looking for a Field Service Store Man and Driver to support our field service team. You will manage tool room activities at our Alrode repair centre, including tool inspections, deliveries, calibration, and issue control.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of the FSE team for reactive and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain tool issue control and deliver/collect tooling as required.
• Perform tool issues in a planned and organized manner, following instructions and schedules.
• Ensure tooling meets statutory requirements and company standards.
• Keep the tool room clean and organized.
• Collaborate with FSE personnel to optimise tool performance and develop site tool requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with SHEQ regulations.
• Review and suggest improvements to enhance tool safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Complete job cards, tool issue via the tool system, and tool inspections.
• Maintain calibration reports and certifications.
• Assist with additional tasks as directed by the FSE Manager.

Who You Are

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of driving and delivery experience.
• Basic knowledge of tools.
• Computer literate.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s licence; PDP is an advantage.
• Self‑motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Resides in Gauteng, preferably near Alrode or Alberton.
• Willing to respond to breakdown and call‑out calls promptly.

• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and administrative skills.
• Analytical ability to convert raw data into clear reports.
• Problem‑solving mindset.
• Effective communication of reliability guidelines.
• Identify improvement opportunities that add value.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
