About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented intern to join our team at Speciality‑Spartan. The intern will help analyze and improve our production processes, focusing on resource usage, production efficiency, and material usage variance. This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop resource usage vs. production efficiency reports using PowerBI (preferred) or Excel.
• Analyze material usage to identify variances and recommend waste reduction strategies.
• Conduct time and motion studies to evaluate production process efficiency.
• Apply Lean principles and DMAIC methodology to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in PowerBI (preferred) or Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights (will be tested).
• Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology (will be tested).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience, coursework, or projects in continuous improvement, process optimization, or related areas is a plus.
