Position Overview

The Driver 1T role is available in Durban. You will be responsible for transporting cargo, ensuring accurate delivery and collection, and maintaining vehicle safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect client cargo.
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo.
• Collect and complete daily delivery sheets.
• Collect and complete daily collection sheets.
• Perform daily pre‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Report vehicle faults as required.
• Handle cargo with care during loading and unloading.
• Verify delivery/collection addresses for accuracy.
• Maintain constant communication with the depot.
• Ensure no deviations from delivery/collection sheets without authorization.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) minimum.
• 1–2 years of driving experience preferred but not required.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
• Good geographical knowledge of the area of responsibility.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Willingness to work overtime as required by clients.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Professional appearance at all times.
• Own transport to and from work.
