We are seeking a skilled Sewer Plant Operator to manage and monitor our wastewater treatment plant. The role involves operating equipment, performing maintenance, testing water quality, and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plants and related equipment.
• Perform daily checks on pumps, valves, chemical dosing systems, and mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Monitor effluent quality and perform tests according to standards and protocols.
• Record operational data, readings, and prepare reports.
• Respond to plant faults, breakdowns, and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Relevant certificate in Wastewater Treatment or Sewerage Plant Operations (Class I or II Waste Process Controller Certificate).
• 2–3 years of experience in wastewater/sewerage plant operations or a related field.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work shifts and standby.
