About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Learner to join our team. This role offers you the chance to support the quality team, learn, and gain hands‑on experience in the FMCG industry. You will independently verify that operator self‑controls are in place and operating effectively.
Main Responsibilities
- Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations.
- Perform testing and verifications using set standards to identify product quality defects.
- Verify results against specifications and take action if they are out of range.
- Analyze data and trends to support decision‑making with the operations team.
- Complete all required training within the expected time.
- Take responsibility for your own development and training.
- Conduct quality verifications at RFP.
- Maintain 5‑S housekeeping standards in the labs.
- Communicate with outgoing counterparts during shift handover.
- Perform routine inspections of products to verify operator self‑controls.
- Conduct specialist low‑frequency testing of products.
- Identify raw material defects and rejects, including on‑floor verification of NCRs raised by operations.
- Communicate defects to operating crews for corrective action.
- Ensure shift teams hold defective production and keep records.
- Check centre lining activities and report non‑conformances.

Requirements
- Minimum: National Diploma or NQF Level 6 in Quality or Pulp & Paper (or related field).
- Computer literate.
- At least 1 year of experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory and testing equipment.
