About the Role

RCL FOODS is a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, committed to delivering high‑quality products and making a positive impact. We are looking for a dedicated SHEQ Administrator to support our Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and Health & Safety (H&S) processes. The role reports to the Senior QAT and will be based in our Spartan facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, amend, publish and upload FSMS documentation; report monthly on key metrics.
  • Control documents for FSMS & H&S (1 document: 5 minutes).
  • Assist the cleaning supervisor with CSOP drafts and approvals.
  • Update all documents to “RCL group services” (1 document: 5 minutes).
  • Manage equipment calibration and workflow (scales, pH meters, hygrometers, oil testers, metal detectors, X‑ray, thermometers).
  • Maintain calibration log sheets and coordinate with suppliers for on‑site calibration.
  • Open, follow up and track NCRs; maintain weekly NCR tracker.
  • Log complaints into SheqX, prepare feedback reports and raise audit NCRs.
  • Facilitate weekly technical reports and trackers.
  • Update customer complaints dashboard and yearly internal audit schedule.
  • Obtain and report monthly sales figures.
  • Create business reports (BRs) and workflows for orders and service providers.
  • Administer SheqX: upload documents, create users, manage stationary orders.
  • Track and update over‑massing, customer complaints, and RTV trackers.
  • Verify weekly thermometer checks and sign off records.
  • Ensure calibration certificates are current and filed.
  • Capture and trend micro results (TVC, coliforms, E. coli, water, Listeria, cleaning efficiency).
  • Assist with internal audits.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12 with an administration qualification.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, Excel (graphs), PowerPoint, Q‑Pulse.
  • Experience with SheqX is advantageous.
