Job Description
The Service Advisor is the main point of contact between customers and service technicians. They explain vehicle problems, recommend maintenance, create service orders, estimate costs, and schedule appointments. The role requires excellent communication, organization, and a friendly attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and listen to their concerns.
- Record vehicle issues accurately.
- Explain recommended maintenance and repair services.
- Create and discuss service estimates with customers.
- Schedule appointments and manage vehicle drop‑off and pick‑up.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle.
- Handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of service transactions.
- Work closely with technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in automotive service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
- Comfortable using computer software and electronic service systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
