About the Programme

The Competition Commission is launching a 2026 Internship Programme designed for high‑achieving learners and recent graduates with no prior work experience. The six‑month Work‑Integrated Learning (WIL) programme offers hands‑on experience in competition law, economics, and related fields while supporting your academic requirements.

Successful completion will earn you a certificate of attendance and a recommendation letter from your coach. As a young, developmental organisation, we foster a culture of learning and provide a strong platform to nurture talent.

Who Should Apply?

  • Final‑year students or recent graduates from a university or university of technology.
  • Students needing practical experience to complete their curriculum.
  • South African citizens.
  • No prior work experience in the same field.
  • Academic average of 70% or higher (advantageous).
  • Evidence of proactive engagement in initiatives or service beyond coursework.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
  • Analytical, research and investigative abilities.
  • Notable achievements during studies.
  • Computer literacy.
