Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop landscaping plans for identified areas.
  • Create a Landscape Masterplan for the municipality.
  • Develop an Urban Greening Strategy.
  • Handle administration and reporting.
  • Assist in designing public parks, gardens, and streetscapes.
  • Contribute to landscape plans for new developments or urban renewal projects.
  • Support the integration of sustainable and indigenous planting schemes.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Matric plus 3 years of study (NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields: Environment, Biodiversity, Conservation, Forestry, Air Quality, Landscaping & Horticulture, Bylaw Enforcement, or Environmental Health.
  • Youth aged 18–35 years; people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
  • Preference given to graduates residing in the Mogale City area and South African citizens.
  • Required documents: Application letter, curriculum vitae, certified copy of qualifications, matric certificate, and ID.
