Introduction

You will provide pharmaceutical care services within your scope of practice and handle daily dispensary tasks according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The focus is on script administration to ensure smooth dispensing and high patient satisfaction.

Job Description

Key Objectives:

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers professionally, maintaining confidentiality and meeting agreed timelines.
• Handle script administration and related claiming or capturing tasks.
• Manage all patient profiles accurately and completely.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals when required.
• Resolve problems and follow up on queries.

Duties

• Assist customers by phone or other methods about medications and healthcare services.
• Capture scripts accurately at the central pharmacy.
• Manage prescription-related queries.
• Handle patient profile updates and maintenance.
• Support chronic medication authorizations.
• Coordinate with other departments.
• Perform additional tasks as needed for operations.

Knowledge Required

• Understanding of products, including over-the-counter (OTC) items.
• Knowledge of South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) regulations and relevant laws.
• Familiarity with chronic authorization processes and procedures.
• Customer service focus.
• Commitment to ethical practices and compliance.

Minimum Requirements

Experience
