Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
- Good communication skills. Knowledge of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Basic computer skills.
Experience:
- Grade A: No experience required.
- Grade B: At least 18 years of appropriate experience after obtaining the Trade Test Certificate.
- Grade C: At least 34 years of appropriate experience after obtaining the Trade Test Certificate.
Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs):
- Provide managerial support, including budgeting and controlling procurement expenses. Supervise, train, and develop junior staff. Handle other HR tasks, such as writing staff evaluation reports. Help maintain a database for servicing and inspecting all plant, equipment, and machinery. Perform maintenance and repairs on plant, hospital services, and equipment. Plan and design new installations and alterations. Respond to emergencies and standby duties. Offer technical advice. Assist in compiling specifications, evaluating tenders, and ensuring compliance with stores regulations. Determine the best use of materials and requisition them as needed.
