Job Description

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Admin Clerk and Bookkeeper. This role involves handling daily administrative and financial tasks to support smooth operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Keep customer and supplier accounts updated daily.
  • Process monthly payments on time.
  • Enter purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and payments into the system.
  • Back up the accounting system weekly on an external hard drive.
  • Record stock takes.
  • Handle payroll for staff.
  • Manage receiving and dispatching of goods.
  • Place orders as needed.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Probation Period:

A probation period of 1 to 3 months is required for handover and training. This helps us assess if the candidate is a good fit for the company and can handle the role. Salary during probation will be discussed.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • No prior experience is needed, but it is an advantage if you have some.

Requirements:

  • South African citizen or valid work permit.
  • Recently certified ID and qualifications.
  • Commitment to a 12-month contract.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Nice to Have:

  • Valid driver’s license.

Job Type & Contract Length:

  • 12-month contract for successful graduates. Renewal after 1 year, subject to employer’s discretion.

Remuneration:

  • Market-related salary for learners/graduates.
