Senior Electricians

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed recognized Trade Test as Electrician
  • Qualification in high voltage operations and construction (switching, phasing, fault finding, and safety)
  • Valid ORHVS Certificate
  • 3-5 years post-apprenticeship relevant experience (MV, LV, HV in the electricity distribution field, including 2 years in a supervisory role)
  • Valid Code C1 driver’s license with valid PrDP

Other Requirements:

  • First Aid certification
  • Ability to handle high voltage pressure testing and cable fault finding equipment
  • Supervisory skills
  • Human relations and communication skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • High level of responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure without tolerance for errors
  • Language proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa)
