Chief Engineering Technician (2 Positions)

Minimum Requirements
- Civil Engineering Diploma or Degree (Minimum NQF 6)
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer, Professional Engineering Technologist, or Professional Engineering Technician
- At least 5 years of post-professional registration experience in Water and/or Wastewater Services
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- Computer literacy
- Minimum competency Unit Standards as required by the MFMA, or willingness to obtain them within 18 months of appointment
Other Requirements
- Supervisory skills
- In-depth knowledge of municipal water and wastewater systems
- Proven experience in compiling tender documents, procurement processes, contract administration, and project supervision
- Solid understanding of relevant policies, legislation, and engineering codes
- Proficiency in at least two of the three official Western Cape languages (English, Xhosa, and Afrikaans)
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong human relations and communication skills
- Conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail
- High level of responsibility
- Mathematical aptitude
