Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Code 10 (C1)/EB driver’s license and valid PDP.
  • Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team, and independently.
  • Must be able to read and write, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prepared to work shifts and on public holidays.
  • Able to drive and operate a tractor with implements.
  • Note: Driving test and medical assessment are compulsory.

Duties:

  • Carry out all authorized transportation trips for patients, staff, documents, and other items to and from various destinations.
  • Check the vehicle’s condition, including oil, fuel, water, and tires, before driving.
  • Report any minor or major vehicle defects or accidents to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  • Always follow Occupational Health and Safety Act rules and procedures.
  • Handle inquiries professionally and provide guidance when needed.
  • Ensure proper handling, safekeeping, and control of government vehicles and accessories at all times.
  • Keep your driver’s license and PDP valid and in your possession at all times.
  • Operate a tractor with implements when required.
  • Keep state vehicles clean and tidy at all times.
  • Knowledge of transport policies and understanding of Government Fleet management.
  • Note: Driving test and medical assessment are compulsory.
