Experience:

  • Appropriate experience in Creditor Management and Asset and Liability Accounting.

Minimum Educational Qualification:

  • Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics or Accountancy as a passed subject, or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience and skills that match the key performance areas of the post.

Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs):

  • Process BAS and Logis Creditor Payments within 30 days and follow financial rules. Provide input and prepare Annual Financial Statements and Interim Financial Statements.
  • Keep records of expenditure items using Excel spreadsheets to monitor cost drivers.
  • Process Journals to correct expenditure allocations.
  • Monitor and clear Asset & Liability Accounts daily, and report monthly.
  • Perform Cashier functions, including managing Petty Cash and Receipts.

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):

  • Knowledge of the Basic Accounting System (BAS), LOGIS, Assets and Liabilities Suspense Accounts, Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Instructions.
  • Computer literacy.
