Experience Requirements:
- Grade 1: No experience required.
- Grade 2: At least 10 years of appropriate experience in nursing after registering with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
- Grade 3: At least 20 years of appropriate experience in nursing after registering with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Basic R425 qualification (diploma or degree in nursing) or an equivalent that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
Duties:
- Provide holistic, quality healthcare and education based on the needs of patients, families, and the community.
- Use resources effectively.
- Maintain professional growth, ethical standards, and personal development.
- Support nursing services.
- Take part in training and research.
- Keep proper records and handle administrative tasks.
Competencies (Knowledge and Skills):
- Computer literacy, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Knowledge of protocols and policies for nursing practices in a hospital setting.
